Student Recreation Center Grand Opening

The Student Recreation Center opened on January 26, 2012. The $60 million construction project was completed on time and the staff, architects and contractors brought in the project in approximately $1.5 million under budget.

Sustainability efforts include waterless urinals, paperless hand driers, water bottle fillers, photovoltaic light sensors and many other “green” efforts. The facility received LEED — Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design — Gold Certification in the fall of 2012.
