The SRC Team received the Joelene Koester Team Award — one of three awards in this category given to a collaborative project or initiative that brought about positive and progressive change that improved performance or productivity and/or enhanced the image of the university. The team was comprised of more than 40 individuals from across campus who had a role in the design, construction, programming, marketing, and staffing of the recreation center which opened in January 2012.
The USU ranked high by readers of the campus newspaper, the Daily Sundial, in its “CSUN’s Best of 2012” issue.
