How are children placed in groups?
Campers are placed in groups according to the grade they will enter in the fall. Parents may request grouping on the application, but requests are not guaranteed.
When can applications be submitted?
At this time, all sessions for the Full Day and Half Day Sunny Days Camp are open.
How can I pay for camp?
Enrollment can not be processed without a completed application and deposit. Payment options include:
- Mailing a check or money order with the application, made payable to University Student Union.
- Pay in person with completed application and cash, check, money order, or Visa or MasterCard at the University Student Union Cashier located on the 2nd floor of the Sol Center. Hours of operation are 9am-1pm and 2pm-4pm, Monday – Friday.
Will I receive a confirmation letter of my child’s enrollment?
Yes. Sunny Days Camp will send a confirmation letter via e-mail, of the session(s) that your child is enrolled once your child’s application and deposit have been received, and as space is available.
What if my child has special dietary needs?
Our chef has extensive camp experience and is able to provide items for campers with dietary restrictions or finicky appetites.
What if my child has limited swimming ability?
Our swimming pool has a shallow area for the younger campers. Parents can also provide flotation devices for children to use while in the pool. Three certified lifeguards are always on duty, and our counselors are stationed around and in the pool. Sunny Days Camp does not offer swimming lessons.
Can my child use personal electronic devices at Sunny Days Camp?
No. Personal electronic devices are not allowed at camp, including, but not limited to: Cellular phones, pagers, video games, mP3 players, and CD players.
Can I enroll my child in less than five days per week?
Sunny Days Camp is organized as a week-long day camp. There are no refunds or price reductions for any missed days per week.
When will campers return to camp on field trip days?
On field trip days all campers and counselors return to camp by 3pm.
Can I drop off my child earlier than 7:30am?
Campers can not sign in earlier than 7:30 am. A Sunny Days Camp staff member will be ready to sign in campers daily starting at 7:30 am.
