When did the construction begin and end?
The project was separated into two phases. Phase 1 started in fall 2003 and was completed fall 2004. Phase 2 began immediately following the completion of Phase 1 and will be completed in Spring 2006. A Grand Opening celebration will occur September 2006!
What did the project cost and how was it funded?
The project cost $15.2 million. And in 1999 CSUN students approved a referendum to remodel the facility and increase student fees by $35 per semester to $120 per semester. To coincide with the construction phases an $18 increase occurred in Fall 2004 with a $17 increase in Fall 2005.
